Whew! I Beat COVID with Two Hands Tied Behind My Back!

Not really, but I think this sh*t is finally over!!!

As you readers already know, I contracted COVID this past week, and I wrote about it in a story, although I realize now, I somehow lost a whole day!

The day I wrote: Ugh! I’m Missing in Action Because of COVID! was actually on a Thursday, but I thought it was Wednesday, I’m guessing it was because I’d already been through the worse day of my illness, so I lost some time.

I decided not to bore everyone with another update about my bout with Omicron, and what happened after I last wrote. Let’s just say, apparently the relapse I thought my sister experienced must have all been part of the process of getting over this virus.

I also seemingly suffered a relapse after writing my last story. Nothing severe; more like some of the familiar aches, pains, and overall lousy feelings that often accompany a bad cold or flu.

But today is Sunday and I’ve been up watching the sunrise and having a cup of coffee. I thought about going out for a early morning walk, but I think I have one more day before I can come out of isolation.

Still, I’m glad just for the fact that I even want to go out for a walk. I’ll take that as a good sign that I’m truly on the mend.

Final Thoughts

I’m ready to close out this final chapter of my life and all that I’ve dealt with, living in a house with COVID.

I realize how fortunate that me and my loved ones are, to have managed to beat this virus, and not experience anything worse than we already did.

I know things could have been much worse, and somehow that knowledge has made a definite impression on me, in more ways than one.

COVID has truly helped me to look differently at my overall good health, which allows me to get out in the world and do the things that so many people are just unable to do.

I’m done taking it all for granted, and some changes are a coming!
