Wherever You Are is Where I Want to Be

Forever, together, in love: Freestyle

My mirror, my playmate, my love.

Last month, I wrote a story about my cat, Francis. The article went viral and had over 50,000 views. People love cute cat pictures. Can you blame them?

I explained how I spent six months away from friends and family to write a book. I took my cat Boo with me to keep me company, but we were lonely. I adopted Francis, or Queen Francis as she prefers to be called, to keep us company. She was quick to consider us family, and we all are living happily ever after.

Since then, many people have asked me how she and Boo get along. I’m happy to report that it is a true love story. Quickly, the two became inseparable. Francis found her knight in shining armor in a cat that resembles her. He is her protector, her snuggle muffin, and the love of her life.

Sure, they have the occasional spat because Boo flirts with one of our dogs, but the two lovecats always find a way back into each other’s arms. Now they spend their days lazing away, indulging in kitty crack (catnip), walking through beds of cat grass, and savoring a variety of cat food and treats. I’m glad to be of service to the royal pair.

Despite Francis going viral last month, she has kept a level head about it all. She promises Boo that her superstar status will never change how she feels about her soulmate. He is her one and only. He says, “Wherever you go is where I want to be.”

Thank you, Mary Chang Story Writer, for sharing joy through your inspiring Six Word Photo Story Challenge publication!
