Where’s The Emotional Component?

AI’s missing link…

Make no mistake, there is a key missing element in this whole AI extravaganza we are being subjected to.

Stop and think for just a moment about the root origin of AI.

It’s all code. One’s and zero’s.

The source for the output generated by AI is many thousands of lines of code. Again, one’s and zero’s.

Go down the list of all the applications of AI. It’s the same root source whether it’s in manufacturing or art.

As realistic as some AI may seem, there is a singular missing element in all AI output.

Human emotion.

Manufacturing? Do you think that robot gives a shit about what it is doing? Keep feeding it the one’s and zero’s and it’ll pump stuff out 24/7.

As a photographer, I continue to search for the missing element in AI generated images.

Human emotion. Non existent.

As an inquisitive writer I consider the whole concept of AI generated articles or stories. Tell AI what you are looking for and it goes to find it.

Human emotion as a component of AI writing. None…

AI as an art form? Needs its own category. Artificial is after all, artificial.

Human emotion is an all powerful component of all things thought, spoken, written, drawn, built or considered. The most critical decisions in our lives are based on emotion. Good, bad or indifferent, emotion drives virtually everything we do.

There is nothing artificial about raw human emotion. There is no substitute. It can’t be fabricated. It can’t be coded.

The singular point where human emotion enters AI as a component is with the individual(s) writing the source code.

Think about that for a moment.

And then ask yourself, “What are the intentions of the person(s) writing the code?”

When you use AI, how is it possible your raw emotions will be expressed accurately?
