Sights and Sounds of Optimism
Where Our Night Yields to a New Dawn
Show me where our light and song begins

And I’ll etch fiery, percussive starbursts upon your canvas, reverbing,
trailing from quiet, dim spaces you’ll never see, but you’ll know I was there, for shading never masks warmth
as we stalk upwards, together and apart, in unison and staccato, unnoticed,
riding blue-shifted shadows blurring together as we reflect glint and gleam,
hunter-green shoots streak, trailing midnight-sapphire, our flamed faces erupting a smeared ecstasy
turned towards heavenly moonlit midnight sunbeams, undeterred by raindrops, dewdrops, or fleeting drops in pressure or temperature, for
mutually, we are warmed by contrast and spectrum; our colors and vibrations herald our rebirth.

Okay, now to tag three Medium poets I’d like to also try this challenge… hmmm… so many to choose from… I think I’ll go with Tre L. Loadholt, J Oliver Dempsey, and Zaria Rashay.
No pressure, colleagues. It’s cool if you decline, but I’m genuinely excited to know what you three might come up with.
And also, any of my Medium friends who feel inclined to take a swing at this one, feel free!
