Where do you find your ideas for your Medium articles?
A few suggestions are included in this article.
Finding a topic for an article, especially one that attracts readers, isn’t easy. It can be quite stressful and time-consuming. It’s sometimes one of those “I wish I’d thought about writing about that!”
And that’s exactly why you should read and save articles!
Save the article that John Doe wrote into a library that you create and call “Ideas.”
Keep a Journal of the ideas that pop into your head!
We all have great memories until we don’t. Get a special notebook and when something pops into your mind, jot it down in your notebook. You might also make a notation of what prompted you to possibly use the idea.
Read news outlets like Newsbreak, USA Today, and news blurbs on your phone to find ideas.
As you read, put on your “thinking cap” of ideas you might use. Don’t plagiarize what you read, you’re simply using what you’ve read to get ideas.
Search Medium publications in Categories where you have knowledge.

- Caregiving

Look for articles by authors who have many followers.

- How many readers did their article have?
- Again, don’t plagiarize their article, but did their article give you an idea?
Look for Medium Publications that are accepting new writers.
Read their requirements. What is their publication about? Submit a draft link to the link that is usually provided.
Find a Medium Publication that fits the article you’ve written.
You stand a much better chance of attracting more readers if your article is in a Publication than standing alone under your profile.
Find and read what top Medium Authors write.
