Where Am I Going? What Am I Doing Next?
Reading and Writing on Medium.com Helps in Difficult Times

I woke up Saturday morning, January 1, 2022, with a new feeling, much clearer in mind than it has been the past few weeks specifically — and the past two years broadly — with the pandemic, and missing friends and occasions to go to.
Before one can work on any kind of future one must study the past — at least those particular events or thinking that has gotten us to this point in time.
After my spiritual awakening in 1975 and a couple of decades trying to balance my spiritual inner life with my physical outer life, I began to realize that I was now committed to helping others in various ways. I mentored others in fashion design businesses and technology, and volunteered to assist others, and wrote a book in 2018, Past, Present, Future: A Fashion Memoir of 70 Years in Design, Manufacturing, Engineering, Education and Technology. Writing the book started my writing in Medium.com. Themes were Emotions, Mental Health, Consciousness, Spirituality, etc. and still geared to helping others with my knowledge and experiences. I was very happy in what I was doing — until the pandemic struck! I felt lost with not seeing people or being able to go places to help and benefit others.
It has taken a little while but the supportive messages by some writers — and even reflecting back on my own intuitive writing — has led me to today.
Lanu Pitan (What Will 2022 Offer You?) “It is during the period of great adversity that opportunities present themselves.” [I have always felt this, and have been waiting for these opportunities, and thank Lanu for reminding me of this and many things she has written. The opportunities I want is to be able to see and benefit others in different ways. However, one of my difficulties is impatience. On my wall above my desk is a plate, “Lord, Grant me patience but please hurry.”]
Then this doggie, speaking for Milton Berle said, “If opportunity doesn’t knock, build a door”. Ponder on that, Shirley. I’m not sure what “build a door” might symbolize, but I am sure that it means: “be open to it” and that means “open to intuition that knocks on us”.

Intuition:
Kimberly Fosu: “The spiritually wisest people know … they’ve learned that it takes discipline to be able to quiet the mind so they can hear the messages that Spirit has for them. It also takes discipline to heed intuition when it’s so easy to disregard the hidden genius.”
Lanu Pitan: “The Intuitive Sensing — That first impression, we receive is always right and it is the inner voice in us…Humanity is not left alone to navigate the harsh terrain of this world without guidance, and that guidance is THE INTUITION. The inner voice burst through the dark layer of base feeling, and show the way to the spiritual ascent. … Intuition provides us with a “gut” response — an inner voice – beyond logic or learned responses, revealing both who we are and the knowledge we have gained”
Darshak Rana: New Year: You’ve to go with the flow and let time work for you. What are your experiences with New Year Resolutions & other goals? [Darshak’s reminder “go with the flow” is especially pertinent for me, as I had forgotten that the “flow” is intuition.
Dr Mehmet Yildiz: “Intuition is the capability to understand a situation without analytic reasoning. Intuitions come from the unconscious mind.”
Emotions:
Dr Mehmet Yildiz: “When I learned to observe my emotions, label them, and detach from them, I started tolerating setbacks and criticism more effortlessly.” — — “I always consider lifestyle changes first if my issues can be addressed without medical intervention …we improve our cognitive flexibility. And when we strengthen our emotional maturity, we can have more empathy and compassion for humanity. — — My unique contribution to the Transhumanism philosophy is adding spirituality to the equation. Our spiritual experiences donate to the development of science and technology and help us leverage.” — — [I love the way Dr. Yildiz combines Emotions with Spirituality and technology. I identify with him.] “Talking to oneself… Being our own therapist is a valuable and sustainable practice for mental health. … Wearing the hats of multiple personas, we can ask questions and repeat the responses coming to the conscious mind with naturality, empathy, and compassion.” — — [Again I identify with Dr. Yildiz, as having had multiple selves that interchange conversation, a kind of inner helpful family.]
Jodie Helm, “Keep this in mind if you find yourself feeling emotions you can’t make sense of; the more you grow spiritually, the more sensitive to energy you will likely become. … The more aware of yourself that you are, the more you can control and choose your emotions. … We all came here at this time to assist during The Shift (“Now in the Fifth Dimension”) and to help change the world. [It certainly seems I am here at the right time. Jodie and others make me know this, and I have written many articles on emotions.] Jodie: “Speaking of anger and other low energy emotions, especially fear, the optimal way to process them. Acknowledge them, feel them, and release them. Choose a higher emotion to replace them. “
Fifth Dimension, Energy & Spirituality
Alan Lew: “Quantum physics accepts that at the quantum level (the smallest particles we can measure), everything behaves as a wave of energy … I want to see how New Age spirituality uses waves, energy, and vibrations to describe and understand our universe. Spiritual Dimensions are sometimes said to all exist at the same time and occupy the same space. They are just occurring at different vibrations of energy. That gives each a different perspective, view, and understanding of the same shared reality. For the Physical Body, that context is the 3rd Dimensional world that dominates our waking experience. Our Emotional Body includes the beliefs that we have accumulated from how we judge and internalize our experiences. Those experiences include the physical world but may also include astral worlds (the 4th Dimension) The Causal Body is our spiritual selves. It includes our intuition and inner guidance (which we may project as Spirit Guides or a Higher Self). The purpose of our existence comes from our Causal Body, which is part of a soul collective in the 5th Dimension. [Alan’s detailed explanation from quantum physics to the 5th Dimension has deeply connected to, and explained, all that I intuitively feel.]
Frank Ontario: “Once I am ensconced in 5D, time is irrelevant because it does not exist at all…. When 5D embraced me, time vanished.” [I replied; “ 5D for me has an infinity of perspectives without time.” See my article, “The Fifth Dimension Perspectives”]
Frank: “The Great Separation — -during Lemurian/Atlantean … In the times before the separation, everyone was enlightened. The coiled feminine energy at the base of the spine was fully extended to the third eye and crown chakra. … While many millions of others lived in caves in Eur-Asia. … It was the best of worlds. Lots of laughing and singing and playing.” [I replied to Frank that my first memory of past lives was in Lemuria, where I was in a cave and demonstrating to a group of priest-like people and trying to become a part of those higher dimensions. Frank is another, whose understanding of past lives and the present 5D I intuitively share.]
Jodie Helm, “Have You Joined the Earth in the Fifth Dimension? When we begin to embrace the fifth dimension paradigm, many of us feel a strong desire to help other people, whether or not we know how we’re going to do that. … When you feel more tolerance and acceptance for others and their differences, it signifies an adjustment of thinking that belongs in and dominates the fifth dimension. … You begin to look for the positive side of things.
Kimberly Fosu, “The energy vortex in Sedona and many other places. Energy portals are specific places on the planet where the veil between the physical realm and the spiritual realm is very thin and energy can flow in and out. These are places of heightened spiritual and metaphysical activity. [I replied to Kimberly: “I realized my unbelievable energy after a spiritual awakening in 1975. In the 1980’s in my 50s, I was led to Arizona, where I met Celeste Daniels, age 84 and a channel, at a seminar. Later in the 80s I traveled and stayed with her, and she drove me to Sedona. It was an unbelievable experience, as she seemed to pull the energy to drive up hills, etc. from me — and also for us both to experience this fantastic energy vortex.]
Learning and Teaching: [My purpose on Earth at this time]
Jodie Helm: “Souls come to Earth to experience things we can only experience in physical form which usually leads us to the lessons we need to learn in order to grow spiritually. It’s part of the deal. We all volunteered to be here at this time to help the Earth and the collective people to ascend to higher dimensions.” [I sure felt exactly what Jodie was saying.]
Kimberly Fosu, “The spiritually wisest people know there’s no end to learning. They understand that learning is infinite and there’s always room for more knowledge and wisdom. … They learn from animals; they learn from plants and can even learn a thing or two from the fluidity of water. … They’ve learned that it takes discipline to be able to quiet the mind so they can hear the messages that Spirit has for them. It also takes discipline to heed intuition when it’s so easy to disregard the hidden genius.”
Lanu Pitan: “The Laboratory Of Your Experience Is Pivotal …In the context of your Spiritual & personal growth, be curious always.” [I replied: This is so meaningful as a guide to read often. Thank you, Lanu]
Dr Mehmet Yildiz: “Information technology (IT) is the broad umbrella including artificial intelligence, traditional computing, big data analytics, IoT, mobile devices, telecommunications, Cloud computing, quantum computing, and several other emerging fields to capture, process, store, retrieve, and disseminate information.” I replied to Dr. Yildiz, “Wow! In all my NSF grant work, I referred to IT, Information Technology. I did not know it was an umbrella for all other technologies! Thanks”. [Dr. Yildiz has made me feel good about all my humble technology work — all a part of Learning and Teaching.
Philosophy:
[My recent past life, 2000 years ago was a Roman Philosopher/Historian. He came back to me in my spiritual awakening in 1975, and I added some deep philosophy and history to this lifetime.]
Steven Gambardella: “These are the people who make the world go round. It takes two hands to heal, to care, to teach, to listen, to nurture. It takes two hands to love others, and love ourselves. — — Always be looking for an outcome to be mutually beneficial in a discussion or negotiation. You can build cooperative relationships rather than stew in needless antagonisms. … Philosophy is about creating theories for how to live. … A Stoic would treat all people with respect because they understand that all human beings carry within them a human quantity of fiery pneuma — “divine breath”. … To truly know your ethics, to rationalize your decisions and actions, is to philosophize.” [Steven has great knowledge on philosophy, especially from history. I have learned so much from him.]
Thank you Medium readers and writers. You have helped keep me going in a good direction.
