Summary

The provided web content discusses the profound influence of one's environment on self-perception and potential, using the allegory of an eagle raised among chickens to illustrate the idea that individuals often fail to recognize and actualize their true capabilities due to societal conditioning.

Abstract

The narrative begins with an Indian legend about an eagle that lives its entire life as a prairie chicken because it was raised among them, never realizing its potential to soar like an eagle. This story serves as a metaphor for how societal norms and the environment shape our self-image and limit our aspirations. The article emphasizes that many people, like the eagle, go through life unaware of their true potential, constrained by the expectations of their surroundings. It suggests that by understanding our true origins and capabilities, we can transcend these limitations and strive for greater achievements. The content posits that humans, much like the eagle, have a higher origin and are capable of far more than what their immediate environment suggests. It points to human accomplishments, such as landing on the moon and Mars, as evidence that humanity's potential extends beyond Earth, implying that our true origins are extraterrestrial. Furthermore, the article argues that the transformation of Earth through technological advancements is a testament to humanity's inherent capabilities and its mandate to shape the world. The overarching message is a call to self-discovery and to embrace one's full potential, encouraging readers to reject the limitations imposed by their environment and to share this realization with others.

Where Am I From ? #12

An old Indian legend says that a brave man once found an eagle’s egg, and deposited it in the nest of a “prairie hen”. The eaglet was born in the middle from a litter of prairie chicks and grows with them. All his life the eagle did what a prairie hen normally does. He searched the earth for insects and food. It cackles like a prairie hen. And when he flew, it was in a cloud of feathers and for only a few meters. After all, that’s how prairie chickens are supposed to fly.

Years went by, and the eagle grew very old. One day, he saw a beautiful bird gliding through a cloudless sky. Rising gracefully, it took advantage of the updrafts, barely moving its beautiful golden wings. “What a splendid bird! “said our eagle to his neighbors. “What is that?” “It’s an Eagle, the king of birds,” cackled his neighbor. But there’s no use thinking twice about it. You’ll never be an eagle. “So the eagle never thought twice about it, and died thinking he was a prairie hen (1).

The impact of the environment on our self-image

Coming into this world, we have all been immersed in this society where we have found certain standards and certain affirmations that are supposed to inform us about what we can and cannot do. As a result, many of us come into this world, and die without ever discovering our true potential, like the eaglet in our story above.

If this eagle had discovered its true origin before it died, it would have understood that, although it was born among hens, it was actually an eagle. And therefore, he would have started to investigate to find out what eagles do, how they live and what they are capable of doing, so that he could start to do that too. By the way, he would have realized that by living as if he were a hen, he was actually living below his true potential. He would have noticed that he was actually able to do much more than what he was doing.

Many of us are victims of the environment in which we are born, and this affects the image we have of ourselves. I am convinced that you are capable of doing more than you are doing now, and more than you think you are capable of doing. Right now, I think you’re wondering, how do I know what I’m really capable of doing? Like our eagle, in order to find out what you are really capable of, you first have to find out where you come from, your origins. Once you have made that discovery, you now have a picture of what you are really capable of, and you start working towards reaching that level. If our eagle had discovered before he died that he was not a hen but rather an eagle, he would have begun to observe what eagles do, so that he could begin to do that as well. But so much that he didn’t know it, he spent his whole life studying what hens do, just because he was born among hens.

If he had known he came from a family of eagles, he would have tried to fly at the same height as the eagles — instead, the height of his flights was limited to the height of the hens. If he knew he came from a family of eagles, he would have learned to eat what eagles eat — instead, he limited himself to eating what hens eat. If he knew he came from a family of eagles, he would have learned to hunt like eagles — instead, he limited himself to looking for food on the ground, like hens do.

The series we’re starting today has two objectives:

- Firstly, to help you find out where you really come from, so you can find out what you’re really capable of.

- Once you have discovered where you come from, who you really are and what you are really capable of, the second objective is that you can share your discovery with the other eagles around you, who still believe they are hens, just because of their environment.

I am convinced that even though he lived like a chicken, our eagle felt inside him that there were abilities that he was not exploiting, that he was actually able to do more than what he was doing. I am convinced that he was even sometimes able to do things that even surprised him, that made him wonder if he wasn’t actually capable of doing more than he thought he was.

In the stories that follow, we will look at things that humans do, that show that we live on planet earth, but in reality we come from somewhere else. The goal is to help us discover our true origins, to help us understand what we are really capable of.

Man has been to the moon, and on the planet Mars…

One day our eagle looked up and saw another eagle flying at a high altitude, he asked the chickens and was told not to even dream of flying at that altitude one day, because he would never make it. In other words, he was told not even to try to get out of the hen house, because the hen house was his origin, and he could not go beyond his origin. He was made to understand that eagles can come here on earth in the henhouse but they can also fly to high altitudes in the sky, because they are not like us chickens. Like, they’re not from here, and that’s why they can go up there if they want to, but we can’t, because we’re from here. What these chickens didn’t understand is that:

Where we are born doesn’t define our abilities and how high we can go in life, but rather where we come from (because it’s our true origins that define who we are)

Analyzing things this way, we understand why man has been able to set foot on the moon, and even on a planet other than the earth: Mars. This is only a sign that man does not originate from the earth, and therefore he is not obliged to stay here on earth. By sending humans to other places in the universe, man proves that his origins are far beyond the earth, and that if he is on earth, it is just because it is the best place for him to live.

Man has transformed the earth

I once followed a series that illustrates what I want us to understand right now. It was a series about beings who came from another planet, and who came to settle on planet earth. These beings looked like humans, and that is why it was difficult to differentiate them in the mass. Once on earth, they realized that the technology that humans on earth were using was too archaic for them, and so they began to invent on earth, the different technologies that they were using in their home planet.

According to the history of mankind, man came to this earth a little over 6,000 years ago. The earth has existed for a longer period of time, but man came on it a little more than 6,000 years ago. When you compare the state of the earth before man, and the state of the earth today that man is on it, you notice that there is a huge difference. This is due to the fact that when man came to earth, he brought things that were not here, such as the telephone, television, internet, airplane, and many others.

The very simple fact that historians say that man came to earth in such and such a year shows that man came from elsewhere, and that is why it is said that he came to earth. You can’t say you came to a place if you’re already there. If you live in a foreign country, you understand well what I am talking about: you can say that you came to that country, because you come from elsewhere; people who belong to that country cannot say that they have come, because they have always been there and are originally from there (this is only an illustration to explain this concept. In the next stories, you will understand that you are not even from your own country).

By the way, what I want us to understand is that, man’s origins are beyond the earth, and that is why it is said that man came to earth. And when he came to earth, he almost found nothing (except natural resources of course), and that is why he had to transform the earth by bringing all these technologies mentioned above, and more. To come back to our little story at the top of this paragraph, these foreigners also gave birth, thus multiplying their number on earth. And that’s exactly what man did when he came to earth: he reproduced himself, multiplying his number here on earth. If man has multiplied himself on earth and transformed it, it is because he received this mandate from his Creator, before being sent to earth :

(2) And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it; and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living creature that moves upon the earth.

It is true that man has not only positively transformed the earth, but the point here is that, the world is no longer as it was before man came here.

What we have said so far may not make much sense at the moment, but believe me, you will understand more and more with the following stories.

Question of the week: Have you ever felt like, you are capable of doing more than what you are currently doing with your life?
