Where am I?
Where is this place? How did I get here?
Recap: I heard an unfamiliar voice before I fell asleep.
Iawoke in a cozy, warm room with a wide bar counter surrounded by comfortable puffy lounge chairs. The floor was covered with soft white sand. Tall folding tables were half-opened on both sides of the room. The sunlight beamed through the gaps, bringing warmth with it.
Having lived in the cold for the past few months, I had nearly forgotten what it was like to be warm. This felt so good, but…
Where am I? What am I doing here?
I couldn’t match what I saw with my memories of a snowy landscape and a bitterly cold winter. I got to my feet and headed over the bar counter.
There was no one there.
I looked out the door, but I could only see white lights and hazy shapes. Just then, a woman entered through it.
She was nearly naked! She was dressed in a see-through dress with a nude-colored bikini underneath. Her hair was a light purple. As she got closer, her features became more visible. She was a Chinese beauty.
I was delighted to see someone, even though I disliked her skimpy dressing.
“May I know where this place is?” I asked as she approached.
The purple-headed woman ignored me and continued to the bar as if I didn’t exist!
“How rude she was.” I was annoyed.
“Good morning, my sweetheart.” A voice spoke out from behind me.
I turned around and was surprised to see a tanned bartender standing behind the bar counter. There was no one there a minute ago!
The purple-headed woman settled comfortably on one of the tall chairs at the bar counter and started a friendly conversation with the bartender.
“Hello, could you tell me where this place is?” I approached them and asked again.
Both the purple-headed woman and the bartender disregarded me.
“That’s not right.” My heartbeat skipped a beat. “Perhaps they were too focused on their chat and didn’t hear me.”
I took a deep breath then yelled at the top of my lungs, waving both hands at the same time, “Helloooo!!!”
The purple-headed woman and the bartender never even flinched.
“Oh my god, they really couldn’t see me!” I was stunned, shocked, and lost.
With shaking hands, I reached out to touch the purple-headed woman. I saw hand, pass through her body. Even though I had anticipated this to happen I was still stunned and tears started streaming down my cheeks uncontrollably.
Were I frozen to death in my own house because the heating failed?
