It may be like burning your money to believe what you hear

There may be many times that you will hear people say things that are unbelievable. We have all heard the saying that you should not believe things when they sound TOO GOOD to be true. That means that probably they are exactly that.

How is it possible that so many people can be scammed and cheated out of their money? They believe what they hear and fall for schemes which take their money. The hope is there that they can trust the people who make big promises. It is wise to NOT trust what you hear if it sounds too good to be true.

You may be given advice from insurance agents or financial planners on how to get the most out of your money. They may look out for your best interests OR they could try to line their own pockets. They may give advice that will not be beneficial to you, but they will receive the most commissions from their recommendations.

A young couple bought some insurance policies from a friend in college. Later, after they had moved from that area, they had another agent from their church. They thought they could trust him, but he changed their policies which resulted in loans. It was determined that he had been making changes, which only benefitted himself with higher commissions.

It is important to check out thoroughly money and financial matters before signing on the dotted line. You should not trust everything you hear because it may not be the best avenue for you to take. Do your own research!

During World War II, Japanese Americans and Japanese immigrants in the United States were unjustly incarcerated in camps that were built in remote and desolate areas of the United States. They were removed from their West Coast homes because of prejudice and racism.

One man in his eighties who was ten years old when his family was incarcerated in a camp recently told of his family’s experience. He said that his father and others were told that they could store their belongings and household items and that the government would return them after their incarceration ended. They trusted what they were told and stored their items in the warehouses. After the war ended, there was nothing left for them. Their belongings had been stolen and were gone. They had trusted others, but they lost everything.

Money is an important part of life. We need to be careful about it and not trust others who may be trying to steal from us.
