When You Forgive
Forgiving is moving forward, living, loving
When you forgive, your heart breaks open, not just to let the light in, but to let the darkness out, too.
Forgiving is autumn, the dead leaves meeting dirt, your soul greeting new ones.
When you forgive, the clouds rain sorrows, the sky clears for rainbows; pain couldn't transform with more poise.
Forgiving is spring to your storm-stricken soul, an opening to possibilities that would otherwise be crushed into the earth.
When you forgive, you decide to live.
