When Will Washington, D.C. Be Safe To Visit Again?
There has been so much turmoil there

Shootings and riots are not stopping around the United States
The COVID pandemic which began a year ago curtailed travel to the nation’s capital. Washington, D.C. has always been a tourist destination. With all the historic, old buildings and many monuments as well as the beautiful scenery, it is a place where millions of people visited.
Although the pandemic halted much of the travel to Washington, D.C., perhaps the worse part came after the Capitol insurrection of January 6, 2021. With that storming of the Capitol by MAGA supporters, the lawlessness was evident. Many people became criminals as they did the bidding of the former President as he protested the election results which clearly indicated that he had lost.
Washington, D.C. became dangerous for tourists. Although travel restrictions are now being lifted as the pandemic becomes less of a problem with the vaccine roll-out, it is less likely that people will want to travel to Washington, D.C. soon. The turmoil, chaos, and killings have not stopped.

Washington, D.C. is still an amazing place to visit. There is so much to see and do there. With all the historic buildings, government agencies, monuments, and museums, there is always something to do. You can learn so much history there.
The cherry blossoms which usually bring a huge influx of tourists and residents to the Tidal Basin area of Washington, D.C. will probably be a major attraction next year. With the pandemic still in force, people have been encouraged to enjoy the beauty virtually this year.

There are a lot of “crazies” out there who have little regard for others or for life. They make traveling dangerous. No one can say when it will really be safe to travel to Washington, D.C. again, or when it will be safe to travel at all.
A lot of the problems which make life dangerous are due to hate. Violence and racism have resulted from the hate, which has been clear.
Life is full of uncertainty and problems. We can just hope for a better future when travel can feel safer than it does now.
