Patience helps

Beginning of my career, with a new job at a corporate, an anxious me was trying to find my feet. Two senior colleagues started teasing me. I didn’t want to be friends with them/share my problem with others. I decided to be patient, and concentrate on work (I didn’t know of any other way to deal with them).

Their attitude continued for a few months, with me ignoring them. As I did well at work/rose in designations, their teasing stopped. When there was a need to interact, they were the first to, with a lot of respect, and that remained.

This may be a small incident, but I have/will always remember it with gratitude because this is a lesson in learning.

Even though I may not have dealt with it the right way, only my patience helped me in that situation.
