When the Sun Was Melting Above the Horizon

I walked along the edge of the forest as the sun was nearing the horizon. I stopped and clicked. And clicked. And clicked.
Then I just stood there. In awe. I stood there in awe of and with the setting sun painting the sky in a myriad of colors. Hues of yellow, orange and red were bursting across the sky.
Behind me, a murder of crows was chattering in the forest. They were certainly complaining about something.
A layer of clouds was rising in the west. Right there, where the magic was happening. I turned back my attention to the sun melting in front of my eyes. A few more minutes and the glowing ball disappeared behind the horizon.
The sun was gone but the festival of colors lasted for another hour on the evening sky.
