When Opposites Attract
A poem
Why would you want to meet me In the graveyard of your confidence And why would you so firmly believe That our survival was not a mere coincidence
Desire is a dangerous place When you avoid the truth All this time devoted to your pain Disturbed the silence brought on by smoke
Flying high on the wings of your sorrow You taint my comforting darkness And I’m free-falling Hoping you would catch me
Hovering just above the ground Knowing that it was my fault for trusting you To prove your love to me one last time Be silent and dim your light
