When It’s Not Easy; It’s Not Meant to Be

What say you?

Life is only but a snooze through a hole… nothing but vanity, as some would say. So who’s got time for all that struggle?

  • I’ve seen men fight so much for a bit of success and lose it all while still trying.
  • Some folks have dedicated their lifetime to a course and never achieved it.
  • Others would fight for a life they so desire. Get there and leave this dreadful life without even enjoying success.

Bro! When it’s not easy, it’s not meant to be

That straw broke the camel’s back in the argument with my friend whom I visited a few days ago.

This will interest you!

His ideology is that no one should waste time-fighting for an unbecoming goal. You win some, and you lose some. Once it seems lost, turn your back and head somewhere else.

Afterall! No one is given a hint about when they get to sign their death contract.

Also, a referral to Myron Golden’s quote

“The sooner you get it done, the longer you get to enjoy it”.

But what say you?

Should you turn your back on every unbecoming goal? I mean! So when it’s not easy, it’s not meant for you?

Well, that is what we all want to believe. In fact, he won me over at some point.

But my little experiences with goals like becoming an article writer and earning better on Medium won’t allow me. So I spilled some tea!

1. Come get it if it’s meant for you

In my days of elementary school here in Nigeria. We’ve been taught to appreciate things and fight for them even when it’s ours. That might explain why we Nigerians thrive so well. Now you know!

What is yours won’t be yours until you fight for it.

  • My goal of becoming an article writer was only achieved after I understood that part.
  • I only started seeing changes when I stopped writing on paper, practiced writing from my mind, and typed directly on the screen.

It was a tough shift, especially when I knew I could write. At least I do it well on paper and in my journal. So why change that?

It might be true that when it’s not easy, it’s not meant to be, but you won’t even get what is yours if you do not fight for it.

2. If it’s too easy, you won’t have a success story

I haven’t yet seen a successful individual without a story to tell about how they got to success.

You’ll have a story to tell when you finally achieve your goal. Some will be used to make you a Denzel Washington standard motivational video.

If it’s too easy, there wouldn’t be a story to tell. Then it might not be a success after all.

Instead of turning your back and heading for another possible challenging goal. Learn from your mistakes at this one, and keep going.

If you are disciplined enough, you’ll achieve that goal, and a success story of emulation will flow easily.

To end with…

When it’s not easy, it’s not meant to be. That might be true, but I say you ask yourself;

  • If you’ve put in your best?
  • If you’ve fought for what is yours?
  • If you could tell a story from your efforts so far?

Read these stories from my friends. You wouldn’t be disappointed!
