When I Need To Feel Loved
I Find Myself In The Presence Of My Mother
Monday Prompt: Write about “a place to go when you need love.” Thank you, Diana C.

A Mother’s love is like energy, it never dies.~Henery X
When I need to feel loved I return to the person who loves me most of all, my beloved mother.
Martha Ann Long was my first friend, my first teacher, and my first source of comfort. I knew that if no one else cared for me she always would, no matter what. I could never do any wrong in her eyes, she just looked at it as a teachable moment. Thanks to her love I loved myself, so, I could love her and others accordingly.
I’m fortunate to still have my mother in my life. I see her daily and we create memorable moments each time. What I love most is to be able to make her laugh, which makes my day so much more enjoyable. I love taking care of my mother, who loves the fact that I do. She will always occupy the most space in my head and my heart, her love is the reason why I’m able to genuinely love beyond her.
I’m far from a “Mama’s Boy.” I am a man, who loves his mother with every fiber of his being.
“The Source Of Comfort”
She’s like sunshine after the rain.
The solution to ease all pain.
Her voice, the sweetest sound.
In everything she does she never ceases to astound.
The greatest of God’s creations.
Good vibrations.
She always exceeds your greatest expectations.
Even when she’s upset with you.
She can’t hind the fact that her love is true.
That’s Mommy, Mother, Mama.
A woman, a lady, a queen, so she’s above and beyond the drama.
I thank God for mine, as well as yours too.
Because it takes them all to keep us doing what we’re supposed to do.
Thank you for taking minutes of your precious time and donating them to reading my words. May our words continue to inspire others, and may we continue to be inspired by the words of others.
