When I dream
I leave my dreams for the night
When my bedroom window is wide open at night, I can feel the memories like yesterday’s soft pouring rain. Cool on my skin as the wind floods into my bedroom, blowing my curtains softly. Sometimes, If I listen closely, I can hear voices leaking through as if riding in on the moonbeams of light that would spark up my bedroom walls.
Dancing and playing me to sleep each night, like an orchestrated lullaby just for me.
I like to watch the night play and close my eyes to my own dreamy escape. Slowly as the night grows colder, I can simply shut my eyes and things begin to unfold more. I'm transported to a reality where I can dream up anything, and my imagination takes the front stage, where everything and anything is possible.
The people, places, buildings, and even the weather. And when I wake up, I don’t have to dream because I leave that specific job to the night and the moon every time I go to sleep. I let it all go in the morning why?
Because during the day I believe that I am already there as long as I am doing what I love to do and living the best life that I can live. I leave my dreams for the night and each day I wake up, I tackle life the best way I can. I don’t worry about following a blueprint of a dream because when dreams are created, so can my reality, anyway it seems fit.
The universe gets the chance to have an imagination too.
So, I leave my dreams to the night; each night the moon shines its dancing light through my window, laying me softly to sleep. Thank you all for reading!
