When Earth Fights Back!
“The world is at war because of the heatwave and the fires burning in countries around the world.”

Watching Al Jazeera news on the heatwave and fire in Greece weeks ago, someone said, “the world is at war because of the heatwave and the fires burning in countries around the world.”
In his latest news briefing on Thursday afternoon, Fire Service spokesman Yiannis Artopoios said there had been 62 forest fires across Greece over the previous 24 hours.
Now the fire is in Hawaii.
The death toll from wildfires on Hawaii’s Maui has risen to 92 as search teams combed through the smoldering ruins of Lahaina town, and officials sought to determine how the inferno spread so rapidly through the historic resort area with little warning.
My heart hurts for the people of Hawaii and their families.
Could this deadly disaster have been prevented?
Can’t humanity see the possibilities that are emerging as we continue this path?
History is a manual that many have read, but most ignored.
How will the authorities explain this to the grieving people of Hawaii?
Our world is suffering because of humanity's greed, and humans, innocent humans including children will pay the price.
Heartfelt prayers are going out for the people of Hawaii.

Which country is next, yours or mine?
There are days when I am so hot, I swear my brain is melting as mucus keeps running from my nostrils. I don’t drink milk or anything that could allow mucus to invade my lungs. I feel the heat deep within my soul and my bones. The time at the top is the right time. It’s 89 degrees and it’s 7:48 PM.

I say Climate Change is at war with humanity’s greed.

The sea is raging for months now and the sea birds can’t feed. I go to sea often and a few of the bigger birds fly around hoping to spot an innocent fish at the surface.

In desperation, this bird uses innovation and stands on this concrete slab, watching, hoping a silly or curious fish would be swept to the surface and he would be fed. See how focused he is?
Why is the sea raging for more than two months now?
How will these birds feed and live?

These birds can see through the bottom of the sea. They see fish but are afraid to take the risk.
Why should these birds have to risk their lives to feed?
Why should anyone risk their lives just to eat?
What does this say about the cruelty of humanity?
Are any of us aware of the damage we are doing and how it’s harming humans and animals in simple ways we ignore?

The sea is coming in, breaking the boundaries. Not many are aware of this.
Greed is changing our world, affecting climate change more than any other element. Kindness and love should be the things changing our world, not greed.
The heat is the worst I have experienced in my more than fifty years on the planet.
I am in the country with more trees than people and I am sweating as if I was in a marathon.
I have three fruit trees on my property, plus lots of other plants. In my community, every property has a minimum of three trees. Some have more.
I live near the sea too.
Here in Jamaica, we use to have no humidity, and the heat would go away with the sunset.
Now, the sun sets and leaves the heat behind that stay throughout the night and restart the next morning stronger, without giving us a break.
Humans are strong beings. None of us is as strong as the sun. Our bodies, minds, and souls need rest.
The Sun doesn’t!
Many Jamaicans are still cutting down trees. I pray the right people are listening and something is in the works to combat climate change NOW!
Because humans are destroying the earth, and fire along with excessively dangerous heat is one way in which the Earth is fighting back.
The sun doesn’t see colors, race, wealth, love, or hate.
I have been in places where I can see that the clouds are getting closer to me. I feel as if I can reach out and touch them.
Am I alone on this? Am I wrong? I know I am nuts, and my imagination runs wild, but am I?
When was the last time you paid attention to our world?
What will next year be like for humanity and the heatwave?
Is the heat wave getting worse annually?
Look at how Earth is fighting back in Hawaii, and other countries worldwide with fire and deadly heat, then answer that.
After you got your answer, ask yourself, “Will my country be next?”.
