Abstract

The article titled "The Authentic Eclectic — A Writing Prompt" presents a reflective prompt to the readers, asking "When Did You Know What Death Was?" and "What Did That Mean For You?" Alison Tennent, the author, shares that she was inspired by a piece from Auden Wright named "Now That You Know" and has crafted her own memoir titled "When You Know" in response. When Did You Know What Death Was? What Did That Mean For You?

I’ve only occasionally indulged in writing prompts or tagging — though I’m always fine with being tagged. So I hope you’ll indulge me when I step out of my usual lane and tag a few of you in a writing prompt I just devised.

My muse today came from a piece by Auden Wright.

And it inspired this little memoir:

What about you? When did you know death was death?

Perhaps you’ve already written about it and would like to drop a link in the comments. Perhaps you’re interested in the writing prompt.

I’m tagging a few friends who might be interested. And I’m not saying we’re not friends if I didn’t tag you, my memory for names is quite, quite appalling.

But whether tagged or not, if you do choose to write about this prompt, please tag me in your finished piece so I don’t miss it. And if I still don’t reply, because of the current Medium Glitch, you can always email me.

As always, I’m never offended if you choose not to participate :)
