Wheels, Steals, Wires, and Sapphires

A life of action and no one tires

He loved his wheels, He was fast on those wheels, No one could travel where he went, He was a dervish from darkness sent. He was a demon rider in the night, The world melted away from his sight. Those wheels helped him in a quick escape, With the law behind him at full speed, There was nothing else he would need. He cut the long length of colored wires, To get his gloved hands on those sapphires. He was the fastest burglar on wheels, To make the most valuable steals. Nothing stopped him, not even wires, As he stole jewels, bonds, and sapphires. It was his greed that got the better of him, When the lights were dark and the moon was dim. He descended to steal that precious stone, He could swear that he heard a moan. It was then that the alarms switched on, The silence of the night was long gone. A thousand impulses raced in the wires, He would not be getting those damn sapphires. Locked away for two years now he waits, He does not ride on his trusty tires, But gazes from his cell at barbed wires. He has nightmares of those bloody sapphires. He waits in patience for deliverance on wheels, It will soon be time for his new year steals.
