What’s The Best Gift To Yourself This Christmas?
Trust in your ability that you deserve a lot more and you are worth it
This is the giving time, and all the shops encourage us to spend more on that. Every shop showcases what is best for everyone, friends, and family members alike. I doubt if anyone suggests or asks what gift we are giving ourselves. It is uncommon to go out all the way to give to ourselves. Yes, we know what our needs are, and we go out to fulfil them, but only if we probably run out of things, do we remember to replenish them.
Christmas Is To Celebrate Giving
The origin of what we celebrate during Christmas is the gift of the Son Of God, Jesus Christ to humanity. That is the origin of our gift-giving. We celebrate hope shared, we celebrate love, and joy among ourselves, as well as the appreciation of what we value most, the gift of friendship among our family and friends.
That is one reason we want to make sure we give out those things that are valuable and useful to our loved ones. We don’t just want to give for giving sake. Some have suggested gift cards so that the person can choose what is important to him or her.
Six Best Gifts To Yourself
First and foremost, you have to give yourself the TRUST that you have the potential to turn your life around, achieve your goals and that your efforts will pay off. So why withhold such a gift to yourself?
“If you have no confidence in self, you are twice defeated in the race of life.” — Marcus Garvey
The gift of peace of mind is also what you deserve. This is by walking away from any situation and or person that wants to disturb that peace. It is because you want to maintain that inner calm and contentment. Do not deceive yourself that it is easy to achieve. We live in a chaotic world, and you have to decide that you want to remain calm despite the toxicity around you.
Rest — This season can be traumatic, and you can suffer from festive burnout. There are so many celebrations going on everywhere. Do not think you have to attend all. You cannot be everywhere. More importantly, listen to your body.
Love, we say came down at Christmas. So allow love into your life. Give and express love to others as well. Love is all that the law demands.
Meet your own needs first, especially when no one is doing it for you. It is a kind of emotional self-reliance and trust in your ability to sustain yourself.
Establish boundaries to protect yourself and your interests. Don’t be afraid to undo the to-do list.
Listen to your intuition. People say it is always right. Our intuition is the navigational compass that directs us. If we trust it enough, then we will do well in life. In life, there are no guarantees, the uncertainty is real, but we can triumph still if we are guided by our intuition.
The Takeaways
- “Whether we remain the ash or become the phoenix is up to us.” Ming-Dao Deng
- ‘’If you have the ability to love, love yourself first.’’ Charles Bukowski.
“You yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection.” — Buddha
