What’s In My SEO Folder And Why
Let Me Share My Bookmarked Sites With You!

I previously mentioned some tools for content calendars, but I’d like to share my own favorites that I discovered or got introduced to while working as an SEO specialist, with most of them courtesy of my colleagues and seniors. 🙂
I am aware of other tools, of course, but these are the ones I ended up using the most and still have in my SEO bookmarks folder.
For Overview and Content
These are the tools for the initial phases of an SEO overview, where you can check the competitors, the traffic, ranking keywords, and more. Later on, you can also use these for keyword research that will determine the content strategy for the future and conduct audits.
SEMrush
SEMrush is the first SEO tool I got introduced to and used the longest. It offers numerous powerful digital marketing tools, including keyword research, site audits, and competitor analysis, among many others.
Ubersuggest
Ubersuggest is a fantastic platform I’ve mainly used for keyword research and site audits. I would describe it as a more budget-friendly alternative to SEMrush, making it a less intimidating choice for newcomers due to its simpler variety of tools and functions.
Google Search Console
If you’re a website owner or webmaster, you’ll appreciate the insights provided by Google Search Console. I’ve relied on it to monitor and maintain site performance in search results, making it an essential tool for optimizing online visibility.
For Audits and Reports
Google Search Console/Disavow links
The ‘Disavow links’ feature within Google Search Console is a powerful tool that should be used carefully but is essential for disassociating sites from low-quality backlinks during the monthly audit process.
Swydo
Swydo is a platform I’ve used to create detailed reports and track key performance metrics. It simplifies the process making it a very user-friendly option for monthly reports. A good choice for beginners!
Looker Studio
When it comes to gaining insights from data, Looker Studio has been a game-changer for creating quality reports. You can connect a variety of data sources, but I used it with Search Console and Analytics. These reports came out to be the most professional looking (in my opinion), but it might take some time to get used to.
PageSpeed Insights
Enhancing user experience is a priority, and PageSpeed Insights from Google has been a reliable tool for me. It assesses website loading speed and offers optimization suggestions, ensuring a smoother experience for visitors.
For Content
HTML Headings Checker
In my experience, HTML Headings Checker is a must for maintaining organized and SEO-friendly content. I’ve used it to analyze and ensure the proper use of HTML headings.
SEO Friendly URL Checker
Optimizing URLs for SEO is essential, and this tool is one I’ve personally used to analyze and refine website URLs.
Visual Tools
Storyset
This might be familiar to many of you. It’s not a secret that I love using their images for articles, but I’ve also used them extensively for presentations. If you’re a designer or content creator, you’ll appreciate it, and it’s free to use!
Unsplash, Pexels and Pixabay
These platforms provide high-quality, free-to-use images and photographs. They are valuable resources for finding the perfect visual elements to enhance your content.
Optimizilla
You can optimize images, ensuring fast loading times without compromising quality. It’s a user-friendly tool that can significantly boost site performance.
Reduce Images
When you work with images from sites where you cannot choose the size, Reduce Images comes in handy. It’s a tool similar to Optimizilla, allowing you to reduce image sizes, ensuring they are optimized for your needs.
PhotoPea
I have used PhotoPea to apply templates to social media and blog images. It’s a versatile tool, quite similar to Photoshop but for free. It supports both raster and vector graphics, making it an excellent choice for various design needs.
Canva
Good for mocking up or creating templates, Canva offers endless possibilities. I’ve found it incredibly useful for creating visually appealing content. Canva provides users with the ability to create vector graphics using the built-in tools in the editor. It’s a versatile platform for designing and customizing a wide range of content, and it’s particularly user-friendly.
I hope I could provide some useful recommendations. Thank you for reading!
