What’s in a Name?!

Books Bind Magic, Names Narrate Stories

I couldn’t settle properly since I have read the compelling narratives of Sandi Parsons, Ellie Jacobson, David Acaster, Nicole Anders, Vidya Sury, Collecting Smiles about their bookstacks (that spell their names) with beautiful backstories. That nudged me to spell my name via book titles.

Hearty thanks to you all for ‘unsettling’ me!

So, the first thing that I accomplished this morning was to spell my name via that 11-book tall stack of books (chuckles!).

It took me around two and half hours to:

# ‘ransack’ my three bookshelves;

# search two chests of a wooden cabinet;

# glance through some half-read books here and there;

# and then zeroing down to the ones in the click. Sigh!

After repetitive attempts to discover ‘ME’ (read my name) in book titles [followed by arranging them to click a decent picture :)], I finally settled down in the following order:

S- Sapiens- A Brief History of Humankind- A stimulating read on Us, Homo Sapiens

A- A Taste of Time- A Food History of Calcutta- A must read for food, travel and culture enthusiasts- a birthday gift by husband last year.

N- No Man’s Land- An exciting thriller

G- Gentleman Spymaster- A gripping story of a spymaster

H- History of the World- The name says all — I am a proud owner since 1984.

I- Ikigai: The Japanese Secret to a Long and Happy Life- Little things that add up to a long and healthy life. A meaningful read!

T- Tintin And The Picaros- It would be criminal if I don’t name Tintin.

A- Atomic Habits- An intriguing read about a transformative effect on your life.

P- P.S. I Love You- A captivating love letter series of a young Irish widow.

A- A Textbook of Higher English Grammar & Composition- My Bible whenever I am clueless.

L- Lone Fox Dancing- My Autobiography- Laced with warmth and wit, this one is sheer magic from the master storyteller.

In the ‘self-discovery’ process, I cleaned a few books that were attracting dust rather than my attention.

A happy soul indeed!

Thanks much Mary Chang Story Writer for creating such a happy, enriching space. And the icing on the cake is that I get to read the wonderful photo stories of this friendly fraternity as well.
