What You Don’t Remember
We vigorously remember what we do not have forgetting what we have.
You often cry foul,
and say I didn’t get,
what I should have
Got.
I must have money.
Then you remember
you have less property.
Then you think, your
partner is less than the best.
You call yourself less fortunate
for all that you don’t have.
You forget you had loving
parents, now a caring partner,
lovely home and you live in
a safe place and have a meaningful
job that pays you well.
To be happier, think of what you have,
and do not cry about what you don’t.
