What Would Happen If You Wrote 1000 Medium Articles?

Let's test this out for reals

Time for a bit of quest. I'm about to write 1000 Medium articles. This seems like a pipe dream, but I'm used to writing many words. I spend the better part of my early writing career writing for insanely low pay on the sites Fiverr and Upwork. Both these sites I've pretty much completely abandoned as they aren't worth your time for the most part.

I've been on Medium for a few years, and while I have 185 articles, my output has been inconsistent, to say the least. One month I think, I wrote 30 or so articles. Some months I wrote one or two, and other months I did nothing. Last year I pretty much abandoned Medium as I felt tired of writing in general.

I've been reenergized lately and feel that creating 1000 articles won't be a problem. This will be a lot of work, but why not. Let's see what happens. It can't hurt to go completely crazy on the content and write like a madman for a year or so.

My Plan

Whenever I come up with an article title, I write it down on Medium and find a photograph. I also use a simple notepad on my phone and write article titles. I think writing two or three articles per day will be my goal. I used to write 5–10 in the hell of content mill writing, so this wouldn't be a big deal.

Of course, my content won't be about insurance, SEO, or everyone's favorite topic, penis enlargement. I have standards now. I usually write about what's my mind and my general feelings about things.

Can it Be Done?

Life may get in the way, but currently, I can see myself accomplishing this goal. The big "gurus" always say to set a goal, so this is mine. It might be a massive goal, but it's a goal. We all need goals in our life to propel ourselves forward. Maybe I’ll buy that cabin on a lake my wife wants. Of course, money isn't my goal. My goal is to see what happens after 1000 articles.

Topics

Topics will be pretty random. I don't really settle on any real topic as this sort of writing gets real boring. It's going to be fun to write about all sorts of things.

Consistency is Key!

They say that consistency is key, so writing 1000 articles would be pretty darn consistent. Maybe after writing this much, I can retire and buy more guitars. How can my wife say no? Perhaps I'll still have pennies on Medium. I have no clue.

Just Writing Nothing Else

I'm not going to do any sort of promotion. I'm not endlessly spamming Twitter or Facebook with my crazy content. All I'm going to do is write on Medium and create 1000 articles. This could be fun, or not.
