What Will You Do With Your Tiny Handful of Months?
Let’s face the truth. I mean, literally
Picture yourself swimming in the sea, surrounded by water only. This is what the number of days allotted to your life can look like. You are in the middle of it, so it seems almost infinite. You feel like you really have time ahead of you.
Some other times, you get reminded of a past event or come face to face with a picture full of memories, and you feel like time flies. You might as well feel a weird sensation in your stomach as you face this reality because it reminds you how much your time is counted, while not knowing how much you have.
Let’s meet your life. I mean, literally IRL, face to face. Let’s say you’ll die around 90. This is how long — or how short — your life will look like, in terms of months:

Each small circle represents a month. It’s strange to see all of them pictured right before your eyes, isn’t it? They take shape, reality, they become tangible.
Let’s face the truth: we only have a small handful of months. You might have more, but you might as well have less. But this is not the point. The point is that our lives are finite. The universe has billions of weeks under its credit, but you only have a few ones.
What are you going to do with it? What are you choosing to do with it? How will you fill them? The truth is: it’s totally up to you. Remember? You are the master of your life. You have the responsibility to take each of these months, separately, and dedicate them to a strong purpose. Something that will put them to good use.
I’m not saying that you should always be productive, or at work, or doing things to maximize their purpose in terms of rentability or whatever. What I am saying is that you should use this small amount of time wisely. Doing things that make you happy, and by extension things that make your life worth it.
Don’t put off until tomorrow or later what you can do today. Face your truth, ask yourself the right questions — even the hard ones, the ones that create the need to deconstruct everything to rebuild it after — find yourself, your true self. Be totally honest with you, and act according to your purpose. Do something with your life, and take the very first step today.
