What We Owe To Our Children

To be raised in safe environments The right to gain independence To never bring them violence To this rule, there are no exceptions To have the best of intentions We owe them the security And will act with maturity Allow them to express their emotions Never let them feel the obscurity Their walls will begin to open
I wrote this dizain poem in response to a very cool prompt. The question I chose was If you’re a parent, what is your prime responsibility to your children?
