What to do if you have upgraded to „Friend of Medium” but your earnings haven’t increased

In the last few days because I had a bit more free time I managed to interact with writers on Medium who told me that after upgrading to „Friend of Medium” the earnings haven’t increased.

What needs to be clarified from the start is that when you upgrade to „Friend of Medium” you don’t get 4x for writing articles but you get more than 4x when an upgraded person reads your article.

My opinion is that this is where the problem of those for whom after upgrade their income haven’t increased comes from. Considering the fact that most of the community that interacts with your articles does not change from one day to the next, it is very possible that many of them have not upgraded to „Friend of Medium” and therefore your revenue seems to haven't increased.

What should you do in this case?

Well to increase your income you need to grow your community and try to interact with other writers in your niche who have also upgraded to „Friend of Medium”. The easiest way is through highlight, claps and comment because for each of these you will get a separate notice which will attract attention.

Certainly not everyone you try to interact with will respond but I can tell you from experience that when I see a post on my articles or highlights my first instinct is to go to that profile to see what kind of articles they write.
