What to Do If You Get Lost on the Way to the Madrid International Airport ✈

No thanks to your GPS

First, don’t panic. Even if you’re running late, and driving by yourself in heavy traffic.

Second, pray. Ask God for help. Maybe he’ll even create a traffic jam.

That helps?

Third. Once everybody came to a standstill, I lowered my window and started waving at the nearest car. When the driver lowered his passenger window, I called out, “How do I get to the airport?”

“Which one?” Madrid, I’ve found out since, has five. “Barajas?”

“Yes.”

He told me. Just like that. He repeated once or twice, just in case. Which I appreciated, believe me.

You guessed it. Traffic picked up again. Let God and kind strangers help you when you get into messes traveling. Or any time.

Tips — 1) It probably helps to know the language, but if you don’t, God can still help you. He’s in the details. 2) Be sure to thank everybody!
