Why do you choose to click one story over another? Is it the thumbnail? The headline? There are a ton of reasons.

Here are 6 reasons I would choose to click on a story! 💻

Catchy Headline

I’m going to click your story if your headline promises me something of value. What happens after I invest the time reading your story? By clicking your story, I hope that either I will learn something new or it will entertain me in some way.

No reader likes to feel like their time has been wasted!

Oh, make sure not to use clickbait! If you do, no one will ever click on any of your stories again. It’s the harsh reality of deceiving your readers. 🫣

Do We Have A Relationship? 🤝

If I know you, it is very likely for me to click on your story. By “knowing”, I mean if we have an established relationship on the platform. After spending almost a year on Medium, I’ve come to know many talented writers on the platform.
