Summarize

What Lies Beneath The Surface?

Photo by Ben Hershey on Unsplash

What crosses your mind when you set your gaze upon my weary face?

Do you wonder what created these bags beneath my soulful eyes?

Do you wonder what’s in my heart? Or do you see through me with your vacant gaze?

Everyone has a story, Many are quite gory.

Yet we seek hope out of darkness.

We want our story to be told. We want our pain to fade.

We need compassion, Not your scorn. Why so forlorn?

Someday it could be you.

We wonder, In your heart,

What Lies Beneath The Surface?

Thanks for reading!
