What Kind of Seed Are You?
What kind of seed do you think you are?

I’m reading “The Buddha and The Badass” by Vishen Lakhiani.
There is a story inside the first chapter about a lime tree.
A boy sits with his grandfather under the lime tree. His grandfather picks up a lime that has fallen on the ground.
He squeezes it and removes a seed.
“This seed,” he tells the boy, “will only ever grow to be a lime tree.”
You have to water it and give it good soil, but that is the only thing it will grow into.
It reminds me of the Einstein quote:
“Everyone is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.”
So I wanted to ask you,
What kind of seed are you?
Are you nourishing that seed? Giving it the right food and water? The right learning and growth?
And what do you expect it to grow into?
Because if you’re a lime tree…you’ll be sorely disappointed if you hope to produce grapes.
