Thee Quest-a Few Words-Motivation
What Is Your Definition Of Successful
Why do you need to ask yourself the same questions over and over?

One of the great models in life, the late Coach John Wooden, defined success as follows: “ Success is peace of mind, which is a direct result of self-satisfaction in knowing you made the effort to do your best to become the best that you are capable of becoming.” Success is an attitude.
How do you feel about this definition? It represents much of what many of us think, yet fail to achieve. Peace of mind is often overrated as being simple to obtain but unable to live with.
When we see results as pure satisfaction, we forget all the work that needs to be accomplished. Just think of all the balls Tiger Woods needed to hit to get the results he has, or all the strikeouts Babe Ruth needed to make to obtain the results he did.
Do we have the motivation necessary to move forward in today’s face-paced society? I struggle to see the point but accept that hard work is always necessary to obtain any result, period, successful or not.
“Don’t let anyone work harder than you do.” — Serena Williams
“The road to success and the road to failure are almost exactly the same.” — Colin R. Davis
Both of these quotes represent truths that are not debatable, yet why is it that we all fail to even imagine ever getting results that these two have, or do we?
What are the differences between you today and the you that imagined all the results in the world at your fingertips?
Life situation change, goals in life seem to fall where they may. That’s ok, as long as we continue to look forward and refuse to let the past dictate your new tomorrow.
Why do you need to ask yourself the same questions over and over again?
We age and get smarter.
We meet new challenges and change our minds about goals over and over again.
Our eating habits change and our metabolism adjusts to our new habits.
We realize that we have limitations that are out of our hands. Not tall enough for basketball, not nimble enough to attack becoming the new Leonardo Da Vince, not fast enough for indy races. Ok, I am getting away from myself here, but I know you understand me.
As far as I know, we are all writers. We all feel the words tingle through our fingertips and accept that we are all unique and tremendous individuals, right?
