What Is Wrong With Racist Rants?

They are hateful and hurtful

Racist rants are a blatant form of racism

Are people being just plain mean or are they showing stupidity when they shout racist rants at other people? Are they trying to show that they are superior in some way? Are they taking out their frustrations on people of color? Are they being cruel? All of the above may be true.

Racist rants became a regular occurrence against Asian Americans when the COVID-19 pandemic began and after Donald Trump kept using Asian references to COVID.

A woman in Torrance, California, was one of the first during the pandemic to have videos of her going viral after she had racist rants against two people of Asian descent. She confronted a young Asian American woman who was merely exercising in a public park. The woman started a racist rant and told the woman to go back to “whatever Asian country” she was from (using some expletives laced through her ranting).

The young woman had been video taping her workout session. The racist woman was caught on camera doing her hateful ranting. She yells at the young woman to put it on FaceBook as she continues her tirade. She tells the young woman that her family is going to come after her.

The woman was called “older” in reports. In reality, she was apparently 56 years old in 2020. She has a last name which is apparently Hispanic.

The racist woman also had a racist rant against a man of Asian background as she was heading for her car. The man video taped the encounter he and his eleven year old son had with her that day before she got into her Japanese make of automobile and drove away.

The woman had many incidents of racism before that day and was later convicted. She made herself famous or infamous over her racist actions.

Since nearly everyone these days has a cell phone with a camera, videos are easily taken by the general public. People are shown having their racist rants against others. Their racism is being shown to the world.

There is so much hate and racism in the United States and in this world. Although there are many white people who have been joining with Blacks and other races to protest against racism, there are others who condone it.

Black people, Latinos, Native Americans, Asian Americans, Muslims, and LGBTQ people are all too often subjected to racist attacks and rants by hateful people. They do not deserve to be disrespected and treated in that manner just because they may look or act different. Life and society should accept diversity.

There should be fairness and justice in this world without people having to endure racism, including racist rants.
