What Is Worse Than Getting COVID The Second Time?
When you got it from your baby and had to nurse her and yourself.

Trying to be positive when you’re positive.
Our horror when we found out baby Luna was COVID-positive. Who knew a harmless, fun-filled water play date with the cousins would turn into days of mayhem?
Yes, I can say this because two other family members also got COVID.
Day 1:
Nothing out of the ordinary just noticed Luna giving off random coughs which I thought was harmless and at night she developed a fever. So before she went to bed, I gave her Panadol for babies and put her to sleep. Previous fever session, the next day she will be back to normal.
Day 2:
Luna becomes SUPER fussy and…
Still has a fever. With added flu and more coughs.
Hmmm, okay maybe one more dose of Panadol would do the trick. Then husband was like…
“Should we just do a swab test on her just to be safe?”
And he tested her with our test kit. The one where you have to shove in the nose kind? HAHA
And there it is, TWO RED LINES.
We also tested ourselves to be safe, ONE RED LINE. (Phew~)
I lowkey was panicking because I knew what to do when adults are positive but not babies. The next best thing to do is to visit the doctor.
When I found out Luna was positive, I asked around for a good pediatrician near my area. Thank goodness, the one I brought Luna had a short waiting time and affordable and helpful staff :3
Since Luna was only 5 months old, there was not much medication available for her. I was given some nasal drops to help clear her congested nose since I still have the Panadol. Aside from medication, I was advised to give a cold bath to lower her temperature and constantly feed her for hydration. Before I took my leave, the doctor told me that I would eventually be positive as I was the main caregiver.
Day 3:
Felt my body slightly weaker and did my ART test.
TWO RED LINES.
The rest was downhill. All I could remember was lying in bed while my husband entertained Luna during the day and only brought her to bed for feeding.
Everything else was blurry after that.
We ordered in almost every day when the whole family was down (eventually)
Day XYZ:

I lost count as to how many days exactly it took for all of us to be negative. However, the irony was that despite Luna being the first to be positive she was the last one to be negative. (I have no idea how that happened but it did)
Oh!
We also celebrated our 3rd anniversary at home as a family. (Not that we could go anywhere to celebrate >.<) I guess, it has a special place in my memory.
If anyone would tell me it’s such an unfortunate event.
Well, sure it wasn’t nice to go through COVID twice in addition to nursing a COVID-positive baby. But I would say that it was time well spent at home with the family and just being a strong unit surviving COVID. My husband took a couple of days to recuperate at home away from work and everything else.
