What is Truth

The joke that has the whole world echoing the question asked by a Roman Governor 2000 years ago.

Pontius Pilate asked this question of a Roman prisoner, Jesus Christ, 2000 years ago.

What is truth? One definition is “conforming to fact.” Woe is me! Has there ever been a time in human history when so many powerful and influential people have distorted, ignored, manipulate, twisted, and ridiculed a mountain of substantiated fact — and then offered their truth in its place?

Misinformation floods the rhetoric of our so-called leaders of society. Truth has been battered and abused to the point that most people have adopted a skeptical view of anything labeled truth.

More and more I hear others say that they believe truth to be relative. There is a word for that thought — “relativism.” If that isn’t a total cop-out, I don’t know what is. Are the masses assimilating this line of reasoning because it carries the tag of “non-responsibility?”

Because of this gross disrespect of truth, leaders of all areas of society have become an embarrassing JOKE!

Honestly, wouldn’t you like to turn your back on them all and run in the opposite direction — leaving them to stew in the quagmire of their untruths.

Truth — that which is true or in accordance with fact or reality.
