Every day we read tons of insightful and beautiful stories regarding the medium platform. I love all sort of stories who got information regarding medium platform, from earning to writing styles everything about the medium, I love it. Today in this thread, I am writing about responsibilities and the right track that each writer should follow. We writers got a blessing in the form of a medium. We should appreciate its worth and importance.

Before Joining Medium Platform

My background in writing skills is moderate. I like to write about various topics. Before joining the medium, I wrote on different subjects related to everyday life, and so on. One day, my sister asked me to have you used a medium platform before. I asked her what it is? My sister told me, it’s a platform where we can self-publish our work or stories, and various people will read your published story.

We can write anything we want but not offensive language or anything those violent rules of the medium. It was excited for me to join this platform because someone will read my writing. I start watching many videos on YouTube to learn more about the medium platform. There are many YouTube regarding Medium platform, but what surprised me that writers can earn from the medium. For me, it is an exciting opportunity. Shelby Church’s videos on YouTube regarding medium platforms were quite inspiring for me.

Joining Medium

After joining medium, I love the graphics, interface, and features medium is providing to writers. I come to know many freelancers and financially challenging people joined medium for searching their career in writing. Medium provides a helping hand to everyone who likes to write. What do I love about the medium? Medium provides a chance to newbie writers like me. There are many lovely stories, tips, poems, and informative articles that published in the medium. Also, some writers wrote blunt stories, related to sex life, relationships, politics, and many more.

Medium is a respectable, professional, authentic, and flexible platform that provides bright facilities and opportunities for new writers, and we all writers appreciate this a lot. But what are the responsibilities of writers?

For newbie writers

First of all, for new writers, we have to be patient and should try to focus on quality rather than quantity. Various writers joined the Medium partner program without any test of writing or any evaluation writing process so, we all are lucky.

Try to write for social benefits, research on various useful topics, study hard before writing something. Your writing pieces are distributed, among people from different backgrounds. So, write with clean and insightful wording. Don’t use slang language.

Focus on your grammar mistakes, learn from it, and don’t repeat them. Editors and publication rules are clear to all. Have patience and wait for feedback, respect editors because they are experts and professionals. If the editors providing you guidelines obey them, follow the guidelines because this is the best way to improve your writing. Keep practicing. Do not wait for the result. The perfect way for you to improve your writing is to keep practicing and searching for new topics.

Medium States

Every new writer is concerned for states, and they keep analyzing their states every minute. What I observed in my one month journey that successful writers don’t check their states as we do. They check their states every week, or month. It is also advisable for new writers to keep sharing your new articles daily then twice or thrice in a week. Sometimes articles become viral and distributed or featured throughout the medium community. The medium States show the traffic or interaction in each article. Of course, if you will not share any article, then traffic will decrease with time.

Curation

If an article is curated means, editors like your work, and they featured your article among the medium community. It is always good news among writers, and every writer feels proud of it. I wrote about thirty-five articles and only two articles curated. However, I am happy that my writing skills are improving. What is ‘curation jail’? This term is not real. If you want your article selected or curated, then write a splendid, informative, creative, and flawless article.

Responsibility of writers

We are new writers. Learning medium guidelines and rules should be our priority. Try to write articles or stories engaging, appealing, and readable. Do not write an article, that is manipulative, offensive, and abusive. Your story is distributed among the public, so try to write articles that are safe for readers, do not pollute the environment of the medium by writing degrading articles. We are writers, and we are obliged to write beautiful stories and articles for viewers so, keep working hard on your articles. Our world’s nations are reading our articles for learning, gaining experience, and new ideas. We should not distribute any humiliating or censored pieces.

The reason for sharing this thread is because I noticed that many writers use humiliating and offensive articles to gain attention. I am new here; I like the transparency of medium platforms, that’s why today’s message is for new writers.
