What Is Success To You? Have You Defined Its Meaning?

Three powerful measures of success

We all seek success — or do we? And, what is success to you?

Many of us chase career titles, money, or social status — and yet we do not feel successful when we achieve them.

What Is Success To You?

This was certainly my case as since the age of seven I believed for my father to notice and love me, I needed to be a successful businessman.

However, when I was the CEO of a fast growing public company, expanding internationally with exciting opportunities, I chose to step away from that position of success.

Why was I not content?

Because you can only measure what is success to you when you define what creates your joy, provides happiness and gives you a sense of purpose.

My external success was not aligned with my passion to help as many people as possible to transform their business and so their life.

How did I know? The pain and dis-comfort in my body forced me to reflect on my life and its direction.

The lessons and changes I then effected, led me to write the #1 best-selling The Seven Secrets to Living in Harmony.

Its core message is that our body is trying to attract our attention to make changes. Asking us to take action to create harmony in our lives.

Success to you could mean a sense of giving back to the world and making a difference. It could mean a sense of accomplishment and career progression.

It could mean being able to do what you love, what gives you joy. It could mean being able to provide the best possible upbringing for your children.

Only you can define the meaning of success to you.

A one-size-fits-all approach is impossible. However, this is what society´s norms seek to force us to believe. There is also the belief you must start young and work hard to do so. Yet many of the world’s most successful people do not even know, let alone start pursuing their dreams until their 50s or 60s.

To Know Success, Connect To Your Inner Wisdom

Success does not have an age range or be by a certain deadline. The only metric is your own. Which means matching to the rhythm of your Soul.

According to Wikipedia:

“the earliest theory pertaining to the location of the soul is thought to come from Ancient Egypt during the third millennium BC…held the belief that the soul was composed of several parts: the Ba, Ka, Ren, Sheut, and the Ib. Furthermore, the Ib was located in the heart, and considered the vital force that brought human beings to life.”

Other traditions and practices have placed the Soul elsewhere in the human body.

To connect with your Soul, you must first be a compassionate witness of yourself. Accepting thoughts and feelings are neither true nor false, right or wrong. Rather accept who you are, without judging yourself or your actions.

In the sound of silence which follows, you will know when you have found your inner voice. It feels very different when you connect with your inner wisdom. Then to quote Genevieve Gerard:

“To begin to understand your Soul as an integral part of yourself and begin to connect with your Soul as a part of your full being and your true nature, is the beginning of wisdom and the portal to true joy.”

Spiritual awakening is not just the purpose of spiritual practice. It is the ultimate possibility for humanity.

The very process of transition will take you beyond who you thought you were. It will give you a direct experience of who you are beyond the mind. This is a part of you your mind can never know.

What Is Success To You?

It is the unknowing which creates anxiety, a deep sense of fear or even dread. This is an inevitable moment all of us in the process of transition have to face. Humanity is at this point and the intensity will only increase over the coming 18 months or so.

Especially as the 21st-century experiences a global resurgence in seeking to re-connect to Spirit. Whilst also seeking to re-create working in partnership with Mother Earth. Re-gaining the harmony of our forebears rather than continuing with the rational view all resources only exist to be exploited.

To me this is akin to the medical system viewing the human body as a collection of parts rather than a connected whole. Everything is separate or viewed as a holistic whole. One where everyone and thing is connected.

The process of transition seems uncomfortable as it is filled with uncertainty, even though we know by design the only certainty is change!

It is the internal knowing that creates balance in our lives, in spite of the major waves of transition surrounding us. Over the years, the biggest challenge I have found is people trusting their intuition.

Which means a poor relationship with self, one where conflicts exist between the different aspects of self — such as your ego and your inner wisdom.

Hence the current energy spotlight on our oldest relationship wounds — beginning with the “union within”.

Your relationship with self is the foundation of every other relationship you have in life.

Do you have clarity as to what you really desire in your life — have you defined what is success to you?

On many occasions I have indicated, there are only two directions in life — running away from something or moving toward something. Both can create anxiety and so a sense of “disillusionment”.

Stepping beyond this requires each of us uses this crucial moment to consciously “choose”. To believe, not in order to be correct, just, saved, better than, or wiser, rather to understand you are choosing “Your Life”.

This is an act of expressing your power, to be who you choose to be. Do not suppress or deny your feelings, make your choice to be the master of your world.

This latest Message from Source indicates our purpose in creating what we desire:

“Continue to make your choices and so the progress you desire to make. What is unfolding at the moment is breaking the ice which has been holding humanity in its grip. As the ice is broken so the new era will emerge. In many ways the sense and feelings of humanity are creating the awareness as to its desires. These will manifest far more quickly than has occurred in humanity´s evolution so far.

Continue each of you to make your choices. Be open with what you choose. This is the moment to envisage what you have not even ever considered, far more than what you view as impossible. There is no limit to your creative potential, once you step beyond what you consider what you believe.

Your future lies beyond your current beliefs, not within them. Open yourselves to your inner wisdom to allow this unknown to be accepted. Your future does not lie within what is known, unless you desire to simply repeat what you have already experienced?

Be curious as to what you can create. This is where you will discover more about your true potential and so begin to create it.

Be present to yourself and create what you desire.”

Not living to your full potential distorts your “piece of the puzzle” of creation.

Create What Is Success To You

When you live to your full potential, you cannot help living an abundant life. You will no longer need to visualise what you seek to manifest. You will be abundant — should that be success to you.

Money, status, and possessions are poor indicators of success. Far more powerful measures to look at are:

• Truth: Do you speak and act from your Soul?
• Strength: How strong and resilient are you?
• Focus: Are you pursuing what truly matters in your life?

From now until the end of May you will feel heightened energies. Evolutionary change will accelerate, which is perfect for big breakthroughs and spectacular growth.

In this we will be supported by the solar eclipse in Taurus on 30th April. Solar eclipses mark brand new chapters, major new beginnings, and exciting opportunities. This one will encourage us to create long-term plans and take small steps to create tangible results. Shifting your horizon to the next stage of your evolution.

The subsequent lunar eclipse in Scorpio follows on 16th May. Its energy of destined endings, turning points, and achievements will build over the previous four weeks. As a water sign, this will have a strong influence.

Much that was withheld or unknown will appear in our consciousness, allowing deep emotions to surface and once accepted, to be released.

Embrace within your peace of mind what means success to you.

Note the transformation around this eclipse as it will evolve twice more near 25th October, 2022 and 8th November, 2023.
