What Is Self-Love? Part I

Someone on Instagram asked me, “What exactly is your literal interpretation of Self Love?”

It inspired me to write a poem entitled, ‘In Kindness I Leave.’

Someone on Instagram read it and asked, “What exactly is your literal interpretation of Self Love?”

Love means different things to all of us. The best part of humanity comes from our hearts. The heart is associated with love.

To love you, I must be able to love me first.

Love taught me hatred, then gave me a choice.

Someone wise said, “hatred does more damage to the vessel in which it is stored, than on to the object on which it is poured.”

I have seen the consequences of hatred and the rewards of love.

Love comes with a bigger bounty of pain than hatred, but it heals, not harms, unlike hatred.

I chose love!

Love is associated with happiness. I want everyone to be happy. I share happiness with everyone, humans, plants, and animals. When most humans are happy, they will give you the best part of themselves.

Self-love allows me to give the best part of myself to everyone, happy or not. I learn tolerance in the process and respect for others no matter what I feel.

It aids in me not allowing my personal feelings to get in the way of what is right.

Kindness is associated with love, which is linked to happiness. When some humans are in love, they lose their sense of self, transforming themselves into someone else. For some, a better person. Reality always finds its way in, and some return to who they were.

Self-love allows me to be kind to everyone, and everything, no matter my feelings. Humans can destroy anything and everything, and reality will find me. That’s balance demanding a say. I end up using common sense with kindness.

Self-love demands that I must save myself from the cruelty of humanity. So instead of harming or hating anyone, I remove myself.

Self-love adds wisdom to my life, allowing me to think about everything and everyone. If I find myself in hell, instead of being Satan’s in the form of cruelty, in kindness, I leave.

Self-love made me consciously aware of myself, you, our world, my surroundings, actions, choices, decisions, what I eat, love, don’t love, etc., all of my life.

Self-love shows me the value of positive vibes and energy and how to conquer and stop negative everything.
