How to Manifest Your Destiny
History meets Spirituality: What does 1845 have in common with 2020?

What Does “Manifest Destiny” Mean Historically?
In the mid 1800’s — 1845 to be exact — the term “Manifest Destiny” was introduced to explain the phenomenon that westward expansion was necessary on the North American continent.
In fact, the expansion of the United States eventually exacerbated the issue of slavery — which was one of the largest factors that fueled the American Civil War from 1861–1865.
Essentially, the term “Manifest Destiny” was used as a way to explain why Americans moved west in the 1800’s and claimed land as theirs, even when native people had been living there for centuries.
It was seen as their “destiny” to go west in order to spread ideas — and increase power and hold in North America, as Spain and France had vast territories at the time.
What Has “Manifest Destiny” Been Adapted to Mean in 2020?
Manifest: to show or create clearly
Destiny: a predetermined course of events often held to be an irresistible power or agency
At first glance, it would seem that the term “manifest destiny” is an oxymoron, as manifest means “to create” when used in that form, and destiny is something that is already determined for your future — inescapable regardless of free will.
However, by virtue of free will, you can manifest your destiny however you choose.

How to Manifest Your Destiny:
It’s no secret that manifestation has taken over in the past 10–15 years. From The Secret to self-made vision boards, meditation and high-vibrational manifesting — it’s hard to go a day without seeing someone talk about modern day manifest destiny
Destiny has a very pre-ordained connotation — you cannot escape it, however, using manifestation, you can customize it to fit what you’d like your life to look like.
Vision boards supposedly work by showing you what you’d like each day — then you focus on the feeling of already having it.
The happier you feel, and the higher your vibration — the stronger the manifestation power.
It combines “set it and forget it” by focusing on what is wanted and then giving it over to the universe — while still subconsciously believing that good things are coming your way.
How to Manifest Destiny Through Writing:
- Write what you know — but write what you want to happen.
- Write as if it has already happened to you — yes, it may be fiction now, but it won’t always be that way. If that’s the case, write it in present tense.
- Write about what has happened to you with a grateful heart — inspiring future success.
- Be mindful that what you write increases your vibration by bringing value to yourself and to others.
- Write what you’d want to read.
- Envision readers loving each piece that you write — so that it inspires them to manifest their own destinies.
- Write to inspire yourself.
- Close your keyboard after publishing with the knowledge that you’ve created something powerful for the day and you’ll continue to do so.
- Use your writing as a vision board that others will read — therefore increasing the power.

Choose Images Strategically:
Images evoke feelings from readers — and from writers. The words connect us, but as the saying goes — a picture is worth a thousand words.
Use images that feel right to you, so that readers will understand your message and the emotions behind it.
Emotions are powerful and increase vibrations tenfold — so don’t be shy to use them or to take your time while selecting the perfect one.
Write Your Destiny as You Wish it to Happen:
Go forth.
Write it.
Make a list.
Create a vision board.
Increase your vibration.
Write it, Then Do Something That Makes You Smile:
Are you making a full-time living off of your passion?
Are you living comfortably?
Are you living your dreams?
Are you with your perfect partner?
According to manifestation, you are.
Write it here — let us read it so we can complete the positive feedback loop of raising the vibration overall.
Think positively.
Manifest it.
Give it up to destiny — and watch what happens.
Together — we’ll create a future worth living.
