What is Home?
Out of curiosity type “home” in your internet browser and you see what you find. The result will mostly be pictures of interior and exterior of houses/apartments. Is that accurate though? I see home as something deeper than the tangible elements (tangible elements being important too).
I heard that Home is the atmosphere filled with values and foundation of nurturing.
I read that a Home is not just a place built to live in; because then we would be only talking about a house.
I heard that Home is related to sharing the joy, grief, and material things with one’s family.
I believe a Home gives people room to care about the people that mean the most to them.
From memories I recall Home as being a stage for telling amusing tales, stories of all type and create memorable memories with one another.
I remember Home being more as a feeling and not as a location: a feeling of shelter, contentment and gladness that is shared with each member part of the family composing the Home.
Home is that feeling of being surrounded with people that can drive you insane in a second and at the same time be the same people who can make you happy in a second.
Home means that no matter what one is going through, no matter how challenging life gets, members of the home will be looking after one another. #togetherwearestronger
Home is where each member puts their hands in the creation of the atmosphere, the food, the togetherness, the homie feeling.
Home is a sanctuary where you are constructively criticised, laughed at in a silly way — because home is also a place for growth and improvement.
Home is when one can share the absurdity of their day without any remorse or repercussions. #ventingzone
You know you have found a Home when you are comfortable enough to present a non filter version of yourself, because you will have internalized that you will receive the definitive understanding and acceptance (in addition to the self understanding and self acceptance).
What makes a house a home is the intangible: the people, the interactions, the dynamic, the energy. The tangible is nice to have in parallel or as a bonus to the base (intangible).
