What If
A poem on questioning

What if
You could turn back time, Would you change anything, Would you change your mind?
What if
We were all just the same, Same color, same race, same religion, Would there be anyone else to blame?
What if
We could all see eye to eye, Could there be peace between us, Would there be a reason to die?

What if
Today was your last day alive, Would you be happy and satisfied, Or would you still try to strive?
In a world where struggles are never ending, We continue to ask for what was, If only things were different from the beginning, Maybe we would not need to ask..
What if?

Author’s note: For the last 20 years, I’ve been asking myself, why is the world so divided when we are all the same? What if everyone treated each other with love and respect? What would that world look like?
It’s still something that I hope to see in my lifetime.
