What I Wish I Knew When I Started a Blog
These are the things I would change if I knew what I know now
Before I started on Medium, I had a blog on Blogger for many years and I loved my little corner of the internet, but at the time, if I had known that Medium existed, I would never have started there.
I would have started writing on Medium right away if I had known what I know today.
I have to admit that my path on my first blog helped me to grow in many ways, both in terms of writing and in terms of computers and more socially on the internet.
Maybe I wouldn’t have written the way I write today if it weren’t for those years when I had the Blogger.
My first blog prepared me for my journey on Medium
When I started, I would have liked to have known that consistency is the key and that nothing is achieved without work. Back then I did it as a hobby and not as often as I do now I write here on Medium.
Here I write and publish 3 or more articles a day! While on the other blog it was only 1 post per day.
I would also like to have interacted more with some people, and get to know them better.
Last but not least, I wish I wasn’t so influenced by social media. At that time, aged 14, the only thing I looked at was the trends of Bloggers on Twitter and Instagram. Influences can cloud our path.
It was an important path that had to be taken to reach what I know today and to be here on Medium, however, if I knew what I know today I would have moved to the Medium Platform! ❤️
