What I Saw in Heaven Last Night
Chickens and cows laughed out loud.
Soon after falling asleep, I woke up in different and unexpected surroundings. I’m not sure if I enjoyed a dream, vision, or out-of-body experience in heaven.
Daytime or nighttime, I often have dreams and visions. I’m usually an onlooker in them. Years ago, as I got into my car to go to work, I had an open vision. I stared down the street at what looked like a war zone. Debris littered the neighborhood. Buildings flattened. I could see dust settling.
Flabbergasted, I drove to work, wondering, “What in the world was that?”
When I returned home, the community was the way I saw it in the vision…
A tornado struck that afternoon, doing unthinkable damage throughout the neighborhood — numerous injuries, two deaths. Thankfully, the twister skipped our house. Not one shingle blew off the roof.
Glad to experience unexpected heavenly moments
In last night’s dream/vision/translation, I approached a massive tree with pecans as big as coconuts hanging from it. (Well, I think they were pecans. They were too big for my natural mind to make sense of them.) The tree grew out of pure white dirt. The dirt was whiter than Steve Harvey’s teeth. I’d never seen white that white.
Family members sat around the tree. I believe I was at my uncle’s house in heaven. He passed away a few years ago. In my experience, I watched him gather the pecans for family and friends. It’s what he would’ve done when he lived on earth. My uncle was a passionate and generous farmer who took pleasure in growing large mustard greens and gifting them to others.
Mom often said he struggled financially because he gave away everything. Although I disagree with her philosophy, my uncle made Chuck Feeney (the billionaire who wants to die broke) look stingy.
In the dream/vision/translation, some of my uncle’s pets appeared and greeted me. They seemed familiar — except his chickens were almost as big as his cows. I jumped when I saw them, which tickled the animals. They laughed out loud. Yes, the animals laughed!
The color of the dirt astounded me more than big pecans and tickled animals did. I asked my uncle why the dirt around his tree was so white. As if he couldn’t believe I asked such a stupid question, he responded, “Because that’s the color it is in this region.”
I woke up under the covers, back in my bed.
I’m not ready to pack it up and move there
Although I regularly have supernatural encounters, this was different. I was a participant. In dreams, I’ve seen loved ones in heaven from my bed. But this was the first time it felt like I visited them there.
I’m grateful for the unexpected experience and I hope it happens again soon. Even so, I’m not quite ready to move to heaven.
Maybe when I’m 120 years old, I’ll consider packing it up and relocating… I’m sure that tickles the big chickens and friendly cows.
