What I Read this Week

Greetings to all you readers and writers in the Medium community. Welcome back for another episode of my “What I Read this Week” feature.

Just like I told you previously, I’m using this as another awesome way to engage and help promote great stories.

Relax a moment and enjoy a heads up about some of the stories I read this past week. I read a lot of great stuff, and some of it really blew me away. You’ll see what I mean if you notice the ones I highlight here.

Of all the stories I read this week, there was one in particular that I knew I simply had to share with my readers, in hopes of promoting and elevating it within the community. That story was this one, written by one of my most favorite and loyal followers Cate Monaghan; a writer who I’m just as loyal to.

With issues involving race relations, equality, and justice for all on the table, this serious deep dive into what it really means to be anti-racist is right on point and right on time!

I’d go so far as to designate this story as my: STORY OF THE WEEK, if not the year, so be sure to read it in its’ entirety. Thanks Cate 😄 😄 😄 😄 😄

Another story that truly touched me deeply was written by Matt Gangloff, where he enlightened readers about: This PTSD Symptom Is Killing You and No One Is Talking About It. It was truly an eye-opener for me, and I think it will be for most of you who give it a read.

I became acquainted with newbie writer Jasmine Dudley when I read her About Me Story and saw that her pleasant features seem to match her personality. She’s earning “…an Associate Degree in Paralegal Studies”, so how fitting it is that she’s also “…a fan of true crime.” So all you true crime readers, be sure to check her out.

The About Me Story from Medium writer Roo Benjamin was of special interest to me, because he writes about his views on the benefits of using a pen name, which is something that I do when I write.

Writer DaShawn Dilworth had a truly thought provoking story about the concept of waiting for that “moment” when we go from invisibility to success, and how, or if this is actually practical. He asks “Is it Really Only One Shot, One Opportunity?” Read and see what you think.

Final Thoughts

I could sit and share all kinds of wonderful tidbits taken from the stories I read over the past week, but I’d be here all day if I did. So, instead, I invite you to go meet these awesome writers, and check them out for yourself.
