After I share my personal records, stats, and earnings. I’m going to be fully transparent about my journey so far and how I think others can use the failures I’ve had to skip the lessons I’ve learned.

Maybe I’m the only one, but I love watching my metrics. Knowing that my writing is developing in quality and value for the Medium community. Thank you all for the support, encouragement, and most of all the interaction. Whether you agree with the articles of disagree I love that you’re interacting. Thanks for much for that.

Highs & Lows

I’ve written some pieces I thought oh man. This is gonna be a great piece, I bet I’ll get some solid conversations started, we can talk about our lives, and I can hear what other people think. Then I hit publish… and those articles fell flat.

Then there have been articles or poetry that I thought, this is nice, I’m glad I wrote it. But, I didn’t think much of it. Those did above average or in one case, went viral!

I realize this is a lot of data. However, it reveals that I’ve slowly been building a growth pattern. If you are a new writer and want to grow your audience and start generating some revenue. You need to be interacting consistently everyday.

Takeaways

If you want to grow your writing and Medium Partner Program revenue. You need to do the basics of putting out quality content. More so, you need to interact with your audience and share your perspective on the world. As humans we’re attracted to story like moths to a flame. We crave it. This is one of the main reasons Tik-Tok has a “war” going on between the Council and the Rogue. It blew up, because humans want story, even more so, ones they can interact with.

Your voice matters so much. We want to know how you see the world, we want to engage with it, we want to dialog about it. We want to know your story. I want to know your story. Post Script

I have a dream of creating a publication where we do a stringed story. Where a new author each week gets to write the next section of the story. If anyone is interested. Highlight this and let me know. I think Medium is ripe for fun fiction content. If you think I’m wrong, let me know that too!
