What Have I Been Doing For The Past Ten Years?
I have supported AHMG for over 10 years. In my AIT job description, there is no training or trainer mentioned in it. What do you call it when I bring a printer, a new device, a new pc to your office set it up, and show you or your staff how to use it? When asked how do you do this in excel, outlook, word, Athena, and Cerner. Isn’t this considered training and support?
I recently applied for a trainer position and was turned down. The reason I didn’t have enough experience on my resume to support being a trainer. In my current role (AIT) the Core products/ Services required for this position we support. What have I been doing for the past 10 years?
In my whole work history to some degree, training has been a part of my job duties. Working with groups to one on one. From entry-level to corp executives. Being a business owner doing sales, training, consulting, and even taking out the trash.
I have applied for very few jobs over the years this was one I wanted. One I could put something into and see results. Do I have the experience, yes! Some of the training wasn’t my strong suit but I could learn and improve yes! Could I excel as a trainer yes!
So where is my lack of experience?
