What Happens When You Have Doubts?
Who said traveling is always easy?
Do you remember when you used to travel with your family as a kid? I bet it was a much smoother time since you only had to occupy yourself to enjoy the journey and experience everything to the maximum.
But many as they grow up, take post-graduation travels, take solo voyages, etc. Now it's your time to plan. Every trip you take will hopefully be wonderful to remember but, traveling is not always easy.
And if you are like me, I sometimes overthink the possibilities. It can be very helpful in some moments but in others, well it’s just overdoing it.

So imagine the time when I was just starting to be more independent and decided with other friends to travel abroad. I knew the trip was going to go smoothly but the short time frame of the stopover was killing me. We couldn’t take another flight since it matched everyone's free time so it was the only option.
I had already seen that we would get to London with a doable amount of time to go to the next flight but our Mexico flight got delayed! It wasn’t that much but it did give me something to stress about.
As we got to Heathrow, UK’s biggest airport, there was already a lady there waiting for us. It was announced that we were going to get down the airplane first since we were in a time crunch and there it was when I saw the immensity of the airport. We had to literally bolt it to the next gate with the lady guiding us. We amazingly did it! They were already waiting for us to take off.
I guess the airline thought that having a bunch of stranded Mexicans was no good. So in the end, my fear of taking the next flight in time was dissolved. That stopover itself was a journey.
This week’s prompt is about fears or doubts whilst traveling. Whether if it’s to a new location or if you decide to travel alone, what doubts have you had? How did you overcome them? Where were you heading to? What happened and what did you do? Who did you go with? Did you learn a new travel tip you would like to share with others?
I hope the section above can serve you for inspiration to create your own article… it can be a poem, essay, short-form; whatever your preference is.
