What happens when AI Chatbot is a better conversation partner than humans?

Is this the end of humanity?

Is it a blessing or a curse that AI chatbots are getting better and better?

This is a question I have often asked myself.

That’s why I’d like to share my thoughts with you!

Let’s first clarify what AI chatbots are!

A chatbot is nothing more than a computer program that uses artificial intelligence (AI) and natural language processing (NLP) to understand customer questions and automate responses by simulating human data exchange.

Or simply put, you are talking to a machine!

Many websites now offer the option of contacting customer support via the chat function.

This is a good and quick method if you have a problem and need an answer quickly.

I think it’s a good thing and very helpful.

In the meantime, however, AI chatbots have also increasingly found their way into customer support and other areas.

AI chatbots are still in their infancy and you can tell whether you’re talking to a human or a machine.

This is because you usually receive ready-made sentence modules that fit the question to some extent.

Are they helpful? I’ll leave that up to you to decide; it’s never helped me before.

But now let’s continue the story, say 10 years into the future.

The AI chatbots are mature because they have been able to evaluate and analyze the data they have received over the years.

It is no longer clear whether I am talking to a human or a machine.

And that’s what scares me.

If we can no longer tell whether it’s a human or AI, where will this all lead us?

  • Will we only entrust our problems to a machine because it always has a suitable solution?
  • If we have a question, will we only communicate with our PC or smartphone instead of asking a human?
  • Will there be no more small talk on the subway on the way home?

And the most important question of all!

Will machines eventually take over our thinking for us?

I know it’s a long shot, but if there’s one thing Hollywood has taught us, it’s that if we’re not careful, the machines might take over at some point.

Keyword “Skynet”.

Conclusion

I think it’s good that artificial intelligence has found its place in many areas and is making work easier.

But we should always keep one thing in mind.

We’d better think ourselves!
