What Happened to Your Funny Bone?

This might prove to be more difficult than I thought. Again, there was no thinking for this article, just the title. Actually, it is appropriate. I don’t know what happened to it. My funny bone. Really.

Of course, I could read something funny. That might get me in the mood.

I hadn’t thought of that. If you want to be thoughtful or inspired, that’s what you read. Why wouldn’t it be the same if you wanted a laugh?

Okay, let’s give this a whirl. I could read some more in my Gilda book. She titled it It’s Always Something, which is something her father used to say to her. I’ve slowed down on reading it because I want to make it last longer and because it’s getting to the end.

I wasn’t dead when I wrote the ending.

There. That’s it. You can be funny if you’re breathing.

How have you been doing? We haven’t talked much lately.

You’ve been preoccupied with other things. Also, you’re slow. It’s like you’ve started watching your steps as you take them. That’s a surefire way to fall down if you watch your feet instead of looking where you’re going.

They say that’s a major issue with older people falling down. It helps with your balance.

You haven’t talked to her in some time.

I know.

That made you sad again. Jesus, what’s up with you? Everything is making you sad. You’d think you were on your period.

I’m trying to make you laugh.

Well, you did. Earlier.

That was earlier. This house is bombing.

I had a dream.

What about?

It was sad. Dennis was dying. People were telling him to apply for disability. Except, I think if you’ve already got social security, you can’t.

Well, you’d have to look that one up. Also, I agree it is sad, but it’s going to happen to everybody, right? Plus, he’ll be happy once he’s here. Packed houses every night. And good ones.

Also, I was trying to explain how I’m psychic to Johnny Depp.

Did he have clothes on?

Of course. He was wearing a suit.

Like an undertaker?

Do they have drugs in Heaven?

Now, you made me laugh. Haha.

Maybe I should explain that we’re talking here.
